Homemade Baby Food

For the most part my son Landon, 10 months old eats what my husband & I eat.  But, like any family we have the occasional frozen dinner or something odd that I wouldn't want Landon to eat so I like to have some items on hand for him.  Today I tried a new recipe, barley & mushrooms, and made an old favorite that L loves, baked apples.  Both recipes are really easy, although next time I think I will chop the mushrooms by hand so that the pieces are a little larger.  L will be trying the barley & mushrooms tonight while Mommy & Daddy enjoy frozen potstickers.  Yum!

  1. I made homemade food for my boys when they were your age. I would make larger batches and freeze in ice cube trays (the ones that made the larger cubes. then baggied them. When I needed some I just warmed them up in the baby food warmer (uh, that was pre-microwave days). Your pictures of the food look quite yummy!
